Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Team Leader for Youth Work and Development to inspire and guide young people through engaging programs and activities. This role is vital in fostering a positive environment where youth can grow, learn, and develop essential life skills. As a Team Leader, you will lead a dedicated team of youth workers, coordinate educational and recreational initiatives, and ensure that every young person receives the support they need to thrive. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of youth workers, providing mentorship, support, and guidance to ensure effective program delivery
- Develop, plan, and implement youth-centered activities that promote personal growth, social skills, and community engagement
- Foster an inclusive environment that respects diversity and encourages active participation from all youth
- Coordinate with schools, families, and community organisations to align programs with the needs of young people
- Monitor program outcomes and maintain detailed records of attendance, progress, and feedback for continuous improvement
- Provide mentoring and support to youth facing challenges, including those with special education needs or requiring additional assistance
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during activities and manage emergency situations professionally
Skills
- Strong background in youth work, mentoring, or related community engagement roles
- Knowledge of working with young people with ASN
- Excellent communication skills to motivate young people and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Ability to plan engaging programs that balance fun with developmental objectives
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the capacity to inspire a team and foster a positive work environment
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to supporting the personal development of every young person
