We’re looking for an outstanding Assistant Bakery Manager to join our team at Heidi Chelsea, our unique café located within the historic grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, home of the Chelsea Pensioners.
The café is located in the Soane Stable Yard, with direct access from Royal Hospital Road, and is open seven days a week.
In addition to daily café service, the space operates as an events venue, hosting events occasionally.

Heidi is an expanding artisan bakery and coffee-shop brand with 8 stores across London, Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire - and growing.
We bake everything from scratch in-house using high-quality ingredients, many sourced from the Continent. Our menu includes pastries, pizzas, quiches, salads, specialty cakes and exceptional coffee — all beautifully presented.

Your Profile
- Warm, confident and professional with customers and clients
- Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable experiences
- Experience in a quality food & beverage front-of-house role
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Barista experience is essential
- High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
- Flexible with early starts, daytime and occasional evening shifts
- Organized, proactive and calm under pressure
- Enjoys supporting a team and leading by example
- Confident with the service of alcohol being a licensed venue
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Bakery Manager in all aspects of daily operations
- Lead shifts and ensure excellent service standards are consistently met
- Complete daily FOH checks and maintain brand standards
- Serve high volumes of customers efficiently and warmly
- Work closely with chefs and the wider team
- Ensure food hygiene and health & safety standards are upheld
- Support the smooth running of both café service and occasional event days with front and back of house duties including kitchen
- Assist with administrative tasks as required
This role involves 48 hours per week including breaks
