About Green Light Electrical
Second-generation, family-run business based in Ringwood, in the heart of the New Forest. We install and maintain bespoke electric gates, automated access, CCTV, security and structured cabling alongside our core electrical work, for demanding high-end residential clients across the South Coast. We don't cut corners, we don't hide shoddy work, and we don't apologise for expecting the same from everyone on the team.
The role
- Install, commission and fault-find on electric gates, access control, intercoms, CCTV and security systems
- Run first-class structured cabling, electrical and data. Containment, terminations and layouts done properly
- Deliver electrical installation work to a high standard
- Own each job end to end: set out, install, test, clean finish, client hand-over
- Work independently on call-outs and as part of close-knit teams on bigger projects
- Keep the detail tight, especially the parts that get boarded over or hidden. If it can't be seen, it still has to be perfect
What we're looking for
- Genuine pride in workmanship and serious attention to detail
- Hands-on experience with electric gates, and/or electrical or security qualifications
- Strong on structured cabling, electrical or data. This is core to the role, not a nice-to-have
- Speed and efficiency, because our high-end clients expect both quality and pace
- Full UK driving licence
- A professional, tidy, customer-facing manner
We care about mindset and craft. If you're the type who'd redo your own cabling because it wasn't quite neat enough, we want to hear from you.
Desirable
- 18th Edition, ECS or CSCS
- Experience across major gate, access and CCTV brands (Nice, FAAC, BFT, Came, Paxton, Hikvision, and similar)
- Networking or data cabling certifications
- Solar or EV experience (training provided)
