Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of fresh produce, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company standards. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to road safety regulations.
Monday to Saturday
5 shifts a week with a rest day
No Sundays
4am start
Covering 7.5t rest days other working days will be driving a van
Duties
- Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the transportation of fresh produce.
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks on an app to ensure the lorry is in safe working condition.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries, considering traffic conditions and road regulations.
- Load and unload goods safely, ensuring that all items are secured properly during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork as required.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.
- Experience in a warehouse environment an advantage
- Experience working with a refrigeration vehicle an advantage
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with a category C1 entitlement (7.5 tonne).
- CPC qualification
- Driver digital tachograph card
- Proven experience as a 7.5t delivery driver.
- Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and road safety practices.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
