Little Treasures are looking for a Support Worker staff to work with pre-school children. The working hours would be 9.00am to 6.00pm, up to 4 days a week. Providing activities and interacting with a range of ages and learning abilities.
The successful Candidate must be passionate and enjoy working with children and committed to delivering exceptional care for every child. We are looking for a Nursery support worker to support a child/ren with their individual learning and assist in following their support plan. The candidate we want join our beautiful nursery is someone who is professional, passionate and committed to helping make a difference in the lives of children and has some interest in working with children with emerging needs. You will be joining our team looking after children aged from 2 years to 5 years. We require someone with experience in working with children. There may be the possibility of some extra cover hours with this position also.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Working with the EYFS,
- Working with children, planning and implementing creative and learning activities in line with EYFS,
- Working as part of a team, ensuring safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Following health and safety policies and procedures,
- Understanding the importance of observations and report writing.
- Must be able to assist with trips to places of interest with children
- Interacting with parents and updating them on their child's progress.
- Understanding of SEN
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps young children to develop
- Plan activities appropriate for age and development and any emerging SEN
- Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children
- Work in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of the children
- Make accurate and effective use of assessments reflecting the needs, interests and stages of development of the individual children
- To work as part of a team.
