VOTARY is an award-winning British skincare brand renowned for clinically proven, botanical formulations that transform skin. VERDEN is our luxury fragrance brand for bath, body and home.
We are an agile, fast-moving independent business with a fully remote team. We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager who enjoys variety, thrives on organisation and takes ownership. Working closely with the founders, you will lead the day-to-day marketing activity across both brands, delivering campaigns that build brand awareness, strengthen customer engagement and drive commercial growth.
This is a hands-on role with significant responsibility and variety. You'll work across every aspect of marketing - from ecommerce and digital marketing to PR, wholesale marketing, creative projects and product launches - helping to ensure both brands are presented consistently and professionally across every customer touchpoint.
Main Responsibilities
Working closely with the founders and wider team, you'll own the planning, coordination and delivery of marketing activity across VOTARY and VERDEN.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Own and maintain the annual marketing calendar across both brands.
- Plan and coordinate product launches and seasonal campaigns.
- Work closely with the founders to execute marketing initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Produce weekly and monthly marketing reports and KPI tracking.
- Analyse campaign performance and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate promotional activity across all departments.
- Update warehouse order forecasts to support launches and promotions.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer acquisition, retention and brand awareness.
Ecommerce & Digital Marketing
- Manage website content across both brands.
- Update product pages, awards, editorial content and campaign messaging.
- Create SEO-focused blog content.
- Brief designers on website updates, landing pages and campaign assets.
- Manage Klaviyo email campaigns, customer segmentation and automations.
- Proofread website content and ensure consistency across all customer-facing communications.
- Set up, test and manage promotional codes and website campaigns.
- Continuously review and improve the online customer journey.
Email Marketing
- Plan, build and schedule email marketing campaigns.
- Manage customer audiences and segmentation within Klaviyo.
- Analyse campaign performance and optimise future communications.
- Support customer retention and lifecycle marketing initiatives.
Social Media & Content
- Manage content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube.
- Upload and optimise YouTube videos using SEO best practice.
- Coordinate content calendars across both brands.
- Create engaging content alongside the founders.
- Identify relevant trends, partnerships and content opportunities.
- Ensure all channels remain visually consistent with brand guidelines.
Photography & Creative Assets
- Coordinate photography for product launches and campaigns.
- Organise image retouching and approvals.
- Maintain image libraries across Google Drive and Dropbox.
- Ensure digital assets are accurately named, organised and easy to locate.
- Share approved assets with internal teams, retailers and distributors.
- Help maintain brand consistency across all creative output.
Wholesale Marketing
- Provide retailers and distributors with up-to-date marketing assets and imagery.
- Produce monthly marketing communications for wholesale partners.
- Respond to retailer and distributor marketing requests.
- Maintain strong relationships with retailer marketing teams.
- Ensure presentations, brand guidelines and training materials remain current.
PR & Brand Communications
- Manage day-to-day PR activity across both brands.
- Coordinate product launches, press mailings and gifting campaigns.
- Respond to media enquiries and product requests.
- Create and maintain press materials, image libraries and brand information.
- Coordinate logistics for events
- Track and report on PR coverage and campaign performance.
Customer Experience
- Produce information sheets and launch materials for new products.
- Ensure customer service teams are fully trained on new launches.
- Coordinate customer service holiday cover where required.
- Help deliver a consistently exceptional customer experience across every touchpoint.
Print Marketing
- Brief designers on printed marketing materials.
- Obtain quotations from print suppliers.
- Raise purchase orders in Xero.
- Coordinate artwork approvals.
- Manage printed literature inventory with our fulfilment partner.
Spa Marketing
- Coordinate spa training programmes.
- Maintain treatment protocols.
- Ensure spa partners have up-to-date marketing and training materials.
Marketing Operations
- Manage marketing budgets for individual projects where required.
- Process marketing invoices and submit them to Accounts.
- Coordinate team gifting and company events.
- Maintain organised marketing files and documentation.
- Support wider business projects as required.
Requirements & Experience
We're looking for an experienced marketing professional with excellent organisational skills, strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach.
Applicants should have:
- A minimum of three years' experience in a marketing role, ideally within beauty, luxury, fashion or premium consumer brands.
- Experience managing multiple marketing projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written English and copywriting skills.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience working with ecommerce platforms and email marketing systems.
- Confidence working independently within a fully remote team.
- The ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-moving environment.
Skills & Knowledge
We're looking for someone who is:
- A confident self-starter who enjoys taking ownership.
- Creative with excellent visual awareness and a strong eye for detail.
- Highly proficient in Canva, with the ability to create professional presentations, social media graphics, marketing materials and digital assets.
- Comfortable briefing designers and managing creative projects.
- Experienced using cloud-based systems including Google Workspace, Asana, Klaviyo and Xero.
- Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to improve productivity, research and content development.
- Commercially minded and data-driven.
- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Adaptable, collaborative and eager to learn.
- Passionate about premium brands and outstanding customer experience.
