The Breakfast Hostess and Waitress is responsible for creating a welcoming and efficient dining experience for hotel guests during breakfast service. This role ensures the breakfast area is clean, well-stocked, and organized while providing excellent customer service assisting guests from the moment they enter the restaurant until they leave. Early morning shifts are common, and the work requires a professional and welcoming demeanour to create a positive start to the guests' day.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Greeting Guests: Warmly welcome hotel guests to the breakfast area and assist with seating as needed.
2. Service Assistance: Guide guests through the breakfast offerings, answer questions, and accommodate special dietary needs.
3. Food Presentation and Stocking: Ensure area is clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing throughout the breakfast hours. Replenish or serve food and beverages as needed accordingly to business operations or as instructed by the Line Manager.
4. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and tidy breakfast area, including tables, counters, and serving stations. Clear tables promptly and reset for the next guests
5. Customer Assistance: Address guest inquiries, provide information about hotel services, and resolve any complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
6. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with hotel and regulatory requirements.
7. Team Coordination: Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service and efficient operations.
8. End-of-Shift Duties: Assist with the breakdown and clean-up of the breakfast area and report inventory needed to management.
Key Requirements for the Role:

· Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
· Strong verbal communication skills to interact with guests and team members, outgoing personality and ability to interact with people at all levels.
· Comfortable standing, walking, and performing light lifting for extended periods.
· Maintain cleanliness, an eye for presentation and ability to take initiative and resolve queries in a practical and positive manner.
· Prior experience in hospitality or food service is a plus, but not mandatory. Confident and outgoing personality.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
