Children's Support Worker — Specialist Residential Childcare

What the role involves
You'll be working as part of a warm, experienced residential care team, providing day-to-day support for children and young people who have experienced trauma, exploitation and crisis. You'll help them feel safe, build trust slowly and genuinely, and take part in outdoor activities that form a meaningful part of their recovery and growth. Shifts cover days, nights, sleep-ins and weekends. Bookings are typically 6-week blocks, giving you real continuity with the young people you're supporting.
What we're looking for
Experience working with children or young people in a care, education or support setting is strongly desired. You'll know how to hold boundaries with warmth, stay regulated when things feel hard, and find genuine satisfaction in the small, significant moments of progress. A driving licence is desirable given the rural locations. You'll need to hold the mandatory certificates. Safer Handling training is desirable, but we'll fund this for the right candidate. Above all, you'll be someone who genuinely loves the outdoors and finds deep meaning in supporting others.
