Get Berkshire Active is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to support the delivery of the Sport England-funded Britwell Place-Based Investment Programme. This role will bring together residents, community organisations, schools, health partners and local stakeholders to improve physical activity, wellbeing and opportunities for local people. The postholder will play a key role in partnership working, community engagement and communications, helping create lasting change across the Britwell community.
Job purpose
The Place Partnership Officer plays a key role in the Britwell Place-Based Investment Programme, supporting partners, residents and community organisations to work together to create a healthier, more active and connected community.
Working as part of the Britwell Place Programme team, the postholder will help coordinate programme delivery, communications, partnerships and community engagement. The role will support collaboration across local authority, health, education, community, voluntary and public and private sector partners, helping ensure the programme remains community-led, responsive and focused on creating lasting change.

In this role, you will:
- Help coordinate the delivery of a Sport England-funded programme designed to improve physical activity, wellbeing and opportunities for local people.
- Build positive relationships with residents, community groups and partners across health, education, local government and the voluntary sector.
- Lead communications and engagement activity that helps connect people with local opportunities and services.
- Ensure community voice and lived experience help shape programme delivery, learning and decision-making.
- Work alongside the wider Place Programme team to help create a safer, healthier and more connected Britwell through physical activity and movement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the Britwell Place Investment, including programme administration, planning, reporting, partner coordination and support for Test & Learn activity, ensuring delivery remains aligned with the Theory of Change, Delivery Plan and programme objectives.
- Lead and coordinate the development and delivery of Britwell's communications and engagement approach, working with the Communications Subgroup, delivery partners and community stakeholders to help establish priorities, develop plans, coordinate activity and ensure communications are accessible, inclusive and aligned with programme objectives.
- Develop and maintain effective communications across digital and community channels, including newsletters, community updates, online platforms, social media, storytelling and partner communications, helping to increase awareness, engagement and participation.
- Work with Place Connectors, residents and partners to strengthen community participation, amplify community voice and ensure local insight and lived experience help shape programme delivery and decision-making.
- Support effective partnership working by coordinating Steering Group meetings, partnership forums and leadership events, building strong relationships and promoting collaboration across statutory, voluntary, community, education and health partners.
- Work with the Place team and delivery partners to support learning, evaluation and reporting, including the collection and sharing of insight, stories of change, evidence and good practice, while championing inclusion, equity, safeguarding and community empowerment across all aspects of the programme.
