Coffee Shop Manager (Barista Experience Essential)
We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Manager to lead our busy café. If you're passionate about great coffee, enjoy leading a team, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in everything from making great coffee and supporting the team to keeping the shop running smoothly day to day.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing the day-to-day running of the coffee shop
- Looking after the coffee machine and adjusting grinder settings as needed
- Creating the staff rota each Sunday for the week ahead
- Ordering and managing stock and supplies
- Handling the till, cashing up, and daily cash management
- Leading, training, and motivating the team
- Making sure every customer receives friendly, excellent service
- Opening and closing the café
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and presentation
- Jumping in to support the team during busy periods
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience managing a café or coffee shop
- Strong barista skills and confidence making a wide range of coffees
- Experience using POS systems (Square experience is a bonus)
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and food safety
- Confident handling cash and daily banking
- Well organised with good time management
- A positive attitude and the ability to lead by example
- Someone who enjoys working with people and creating a welcoming atmosphere
