Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Underwriting Auditor to join our Claims, Underwriting and DQM team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in strengthening underwriting quality, driving consistency and supporting better customer outcomes across our Individual Protection business.
You’ll work within a collaborative and inclusive environment, partnering with underwriting teams and key stakeholders to enhance processes, identify insights and ensure high standards are maintained. What you'll be doing:

Conducting regular audits of customer underwriting decisions to assess quality, consistency and risk

Reviewing medical underwriting cases for Individual Protection products and evaluating decision outcomes

Recording audit findings and supporting ongoing analysis, feedback and continuous improvement

Analysing data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for enhanced efficiency and performance

Producing and sharing reports to provide clear insight into audit outcomes and recommendations

Supporting internal, reinsurance and compliance audits and following up on resulting actions

Building strong relationships with underwriting teams and stakeholders to support open communication

Keeping up to date with underwriting guidelines, tools and industry developments
Who we're looking for:

Experience within a protection underwriting or underwriting audit environment

Strong understanding of underwriting principles, processes and decision-making frameworks
-
Good analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends and risks

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate work
-
Confidence in communicating findings and influencing stakeholders in a constructive way
-
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build effective working relationships
-
Good working knowledge of systems and tools used to capture and analyse audit data

A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering positive customer outcomes
