The Role
As AIRDAT’s Airside Driver Trainer at Stansted and Luton Airports, you will be tasked with the delivery of Airside Driver Permit training to ensure candidates leave confident to navigate the airside environment safely.
This is a permanent contract and we are looking for someone who can work full time, 8 hours per day (based on a 4 day working week) This role will be on site at London Stansted Airport (STN) and London Luton Airport (LTN) with some home/remote work too. In addition, there may be some travel to the other airports that AIRDAT operates at and to meet with the management team when required.
In this role as Airside Driver Trainer you will be responsible for:
- Delivering the airside driver training for all airside drivers at STN and LTN
- Maintaining the AIRDAT airside driving vehicles standards and maintenance
- Printing and distributing driving permits
- Becoming a subject matter expert on everything AIRDAT and STN / LTN
- Keeping yourself and the rest of the training and consultancy teams up to date with any operational changes on the airfield with access to ASI’s and OSI’s, and constant communications with Airfield Operations, ATC, and the industry.
- Reacting to day to day operations
- Assisting in course content updates, in line with regulation and airport changes
- Maintaining a positive relationship with our airport partner, end customers & the extended AIRDAT family
You will be required to report to the Regional Training Lead- Luton and Stansted. There will be a need to self manage whilst maintaining our company culture & values. The role will have a strong focus on improving driving standards and reducing the incident rates at STN and LTN.

Role requirements:
Required
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience in the aviation industry
- Minimum 1-year experience in Airside Driving
- Minimum 6-months in Airside Driving at STN and LTN
- Experience in customer service-based roles
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers
- A good team player
- Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
- Training qualifications - RTITB, PTTLS (or equivalent)
- Experience in training based roles
Desirable
- Full Valid STN / LTN Airport ID
- Full UK driving licence - D1 Minibus licence
- Current CPC
- Current GSAT and CRC
- Educated to higher education level, or equivalent experience
- Experience with ground handling
- Experience in Airside Driving at STN / LTN and /or other UK Airports
Salary
- Salary will be discussed on the offer of employment and may depend on experience and qualifications.
- Annual performance reviews will be carried out with your manager.
