About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Property Maintenance Operative to work alongside our existing Maintenance Manager, helping to maintain our Central London residential portfolio to the highest standards.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship and can work independently. The successful candidate will carry out day-to-day maintenance, repairs and minor refurbishment projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out general property maintenance across our Central London residential portfolio.
* Complete minor refurbishment projects from start to finish.
* Undertake carpentry, decorating, basic plumbing, tiling, plaster repairs and general handyman duties.
* Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance issues.
* Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
* Plan and organise work efficiently to minimise disruption to residents.
* Ensure all work is completed safely, on time and to a high standard.
* Maintain accurate records of completed works and materials used.
* Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure the portfolio is maintained to an exceptional standard.
* Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues outside normal working hours when required.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience in residential property maintenance and minor refurbishment works.
* Strong practical skills in carpentry, decorating, basic plumbing, tiling, plaster repairs and general building maintenance.
* Ability to complete minor refurbishment projects independently with excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and prioritise workload.
* Professional, reliable and trustworthy with a positive attitude.
* Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
* Right to work in the UK.
