About Us
Pirtek Stoke is part of the UK's leading provider of hydraulic repair and replacement services, delivering fast and reliable hydraulic breakdown support to customers across a wide range of industries. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced and proactive Administrator to join our busy team.
This is a varied role that combines accounts administration, payroll, customer service, reporting, stock control and compliance responsibilities. We are looking for an organised individual who can manage their own workload, work to deadlines and become an integral part of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Posting purchase invoices onto Xero
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Dealing with customer queries and providing excellent customer service
- Processing customer invoices
- Preparing and issuing monthly customer statements
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Preparing month-end reports and submitting them to the Management Accountant
- Preparing payroll
- Reconciling monthly sales figures
- Ensuring the depot remains compliant with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Assisting with ad hoc reporting and administrative duties
- Managing stock control, including monitoring negative stock and assisting with annual stock takes
Skills & Experience Required
- AAT qualification is essential
- Previous experience within an accounts or administration role
- Experience using Xero accounting software is preferred, but not essential
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work on your own initiative and manage a varied workload
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
