Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the smooth operation of catering services, assisting with food preparation, service, and delivery. Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including basic cooking and meal assembly in accordance with health and safety standards
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen and service areas throughout shifts
- Handle guest enquiries politely via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure hygiene standards are maintained at all times
- Support with cleaning duties post-event or service to ensure all areas are left tidy and hygienic
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or restaurant environments is essential
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to work flexibly during busy periods, including weekends or evenings if required
- A friendly attitude with a focus on guest service excellence
- Basic culinary skills or experience working in kitchens, hotels, or bars is beneficial but not mandatory
