Shift pattern :
7am - 7pm Monday - Friday, Saturday &Sunday.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised, high-quality care and support tailored to the client’s individual needs.
- Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, mobility and meal preparation.
Ventilation management
Diabetes management
- Administer medication and monitor health and wellbeing, responding appropriately to any changes.
- Support community access, accompanying the client on outings, ensuring accessibility and safety.
- Provide emotional support, encouragement and companionship.
- Maintain accurate records of all care provided and report any concerns promptly.
- Work collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Requirements
Valid nursing qualification and registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to provide effective patient care.
Experience with Cerebral Palsy, PEG feeding, and seizure management is desirable (training can be provided).
Confident supporting home ventilation and monitoring respiratory status.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Energetic, positive, and empathetic personality.
Awareness of accessibility needs, including wheelchair-friendly routes, transport and venues.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider care team.
Flexibility to work 12-hour daytime shifts.
A calm, resilient and proactive approach to complex situations.
