Opened in 2019 The Sea, The Sea is a seafood bar and fishmonger located in the heart of Chelsea on Pavilion Road. In the morning we a fishmonger and retail space supplying London’s freshest fish to private customers and chefs. By lunchtime we are also a seafood Bistro & Terrace serving London’s most progressive fish dishes with a wine list to match.
We’re looking to grow our team with ambitious, passionate and dedicated professionals who want to build a career in an exciting, cutting-edge environment. As such we are currently recruiting a new Head Waiter/Waitress for our Chelsea site to join us on the next exciting chapter. You will be someone who is customer focused in everything they do, loves (sea)food and wine, and is hungry to learn more and develop their career. You should be intrinsically motivated, and as such always be striving to perform your role to the best of your ability.
We are a young and ambitious team, and try to be progressive in everything that we do.
Responsibilities:
- Hosting our customers and creating memorable experiences.
- Assisting with customer enquiries for the fishmonger during the day.
- Bar stock management.
- Cashing up and daily reporting.
- Hosting pre-service briefings in conjunction with the kitchen team.
- Running service shifts and managing other members of staff when the Restaurant Manager + GM are not working.
- Bringing new ideas for systems and processes to constantly improve our operations.

Experience and personality:
- You will have a minimum of 2 years experience in hospitality at a similar level of establishment/s. We are in the Michelin Guide and The Good Food Guide.
- You will have an outgoing and friendly personality, someone who is comfortable engaging with and helping create a fun and relaxed atmosphere for guests and staff.
- You will have a high level of emotional intelligence, and demonstrable experience of handling a range of customers and their needs.
- You will be happy working in Hospitality and like serving guests. This should be your chosen career path, not a stop gap on the way to something else.
- You will be proactive at all times of the day. If you cannot take initiative and find jobs to take on throughout the day, or are not someone who is regularly asking “how can I help?”, this role is not for you.
- You will be a problem solver; your natural inclination is behaving in a way so to prevent problems before they occur. If a problem occurs, you naturally try and solve it yourself before asking for help.
- You will have an impeccable level of attention to detail.
Pay: From £33,050.00 per year
