Smartovations Ltd is a growing UK manufacturer supplying innovative products to the Plumbing, Heating and Renewable Energy industries. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to join our friendly factory team.
We're looking for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants to build a long-term career with a growing, employee-owned manufacturing business.
This is a hands-on production role carrying out a range of manufacturing tasks. Whilst many of the duties are repetitive in nature, we're looking for someone who takes pride in producing quality work and enjoys being part of a hardworking team. Full training will be provided.
What you'll be doing
Your day-to-day duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Manufacturing and assembling our products
- Coating insulation using our specialist process
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
- Producing bespoke products to customer specifications
- Carrying out quality checks to maintain our high standards
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely
- Following company procedures and health & safety requirements
- Keeping your work area clean, tidy and organised
- Assisting with stock control and general factory duties as required
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Is reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Takes pride in producing quality work
- Can work well as part of a team
- Is happy carrying out practical, hands-on work
- Can work efficiently in a busy manufacturing environment
Previous experience within a manufacturing, warehouse or production environment is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Please note this is a physically active role involving manual handling, standing for long periods and working as part of a busy production team.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am – 5:00pm
- 50 hours per week (Includes 45 minutes of paid breaks each day, meaning actual working time is approximately 46.25 hours per week)
- Additional overtime regularly available and paid at enhanced rates
