Stores & Inventory Lead

To allow for continued growth, we are now seeking an experienced Stores & Inventory Lead to bolster the existing team. Working closely with the Stores & Inventory Manager, the Stores & Inventory Lead will assist in planning and monitoring the output for the stores team. This will include goods-in, goods-out, storage, inventory control and use of a bespoke ERP system used to schedule and record all functions within the department.
What you’ll be doing:
· Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the stores & inventory function
· Manage the activities of the team, delegating and prioritising work
· Manage and implement the Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental systems
· Respond to last-minute requests from internal and external stakeholders
· Work with the Stores and Inventory Manager and the Production Manager to ensure all legal compliance requirements are adhered to
· Monitor output in terms of speed, quality and efficiency
· Maximise output, whilst keeping the team meaningfully busy during periods of lower output
· Own the ERP data relating to movement of goods, stock inventory (raw materials and hire items)
· Monitor workload and assist in resource planning
What we’re looking for:
· Forklift licence or relevant operational certification is essential
· A proven track record in the supervision of a busy stores team
· Good working knowledge of inventory control
· Experience of ERP / Production planning systems
· Good Excel skills
· Proven ability to assist in implementing process improvement initiatives
· Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Desirable:
- Experience in exhibitions, events or similar fast-paced industries

Salary: £16 per hour DOE
