The Role:
The University of Portsmouth has recently invested £57 million in building Ravelin Sports Centre, offering unrivalled facilities including, a state of the art 175 station gym; 3 fitness studios; climbing wall; two squash courts; two sports halls and a 25 metre 8 lane swimming pool.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a real passion for sport and physical activity to play key role in ensuring the smooth running of the LTS programme.
The post holder must have a proactive approach to work with the ability to work on their initiative, provide an excellent customer experience and uphold the highest possible standards.
This appointment is for a zero hour contract, to be offered hours as and when they are required. The post holder must be available to work evenings and weekends and will work hours as agreed in advance with the Senior Sports Development Officer (Swimming and Activities) or Swimming and Wetside Co-ordinator.
This position is working on-site only, so we are unable to support hybrid working for this appointment.

Salary Information:
New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will (in addition to receiving annual cost-of-living-related increases) progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe. This ensures fairness, consistency and transparency in our pay structures. A higher starting salary or market supplement may be available for a truly exceptional candidate when circumstances fully justify a departure from our normal policy.
