We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join the team at The Old Wharf Inn — a beautifully refurbished, independent pub located by the canal. Open seven days a week, we offer a wide selection of premium lagers, real ales, wines, and spirits in a welcoming and relaxed environment.

The Role
As a Front of House Supervisor, you will support the day-to-day running of the pub floor and bar, ensuring consistently high standards of service. You’ll be a role model for the team, helping to maintain a positive atmosphere while taking responsibility for key aspects of the operation.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise service across both bar and floor to ensure smooth, efficient operations
- Cash up tills accurately and securely at the end of shifts
- Lock up the premises when required, following all security procedures
- Manage bookings, including large parties and walk-ins
- Train and support new and existing team members
- Delegate daily tasks to team members effectively and confidently
- Monitor and adjust staffing levels to meet the needs of the business
- Provide excellent customer service and lead by example
- Ensure full compliance with all health & safety and licensing regulations
- Liaise with kitchen and back of house teams to ensure smooth service flow

- Previous experience in a supervisory or senior front of house role in a similar environment
- Confident in handling cash, locking up procedures, and team management
- Organised, reliable, and able to remain calm under pressure
- A natural leader who can motivate and support others
- Passionate about hospitality and providing an exceptional guest experience
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
