Salary: £75k p/y with room for negotiation
Hours: 5pm - 1am, Mon-Fri
Summary
The Senior HR Manager is responsible for delivering a high quality, business focused HR service across employee relations, employee experience, onboarding, manager capability development, and employee benefits administration. This role partners closely with leadership and operational teams to ensure compliance with UK employment legislation while fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture. The successful candidate will bring 10 or more years of progressive HR generalist experience with strong expertise in complex employee relations matters and hands on delivery of HR initiatives. This position requires a daily onsite presence to effectively support leadership and employees.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance and practical support on a wide range of employee relations matters.
- Ensure full compliance with UK employment legislation, including ACAS codes of practice, unfair dismissal risk mitigation, and tribunal readiness.
- Apply HR policies and procedures fairly, consistently, and in a legally compliant manner.
- Manage and resolve complex cases using sound judgment and risk awareness.
- Partner with managers to drive early intervention and proactive resolution of workplace issues.
- Review feedback and people metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Oversee and continuously improve new hire onboarding programs to ensure a structured and positive employee experience.
- Partner with hiring managers to support effective integration of new employees into teams and organisational culture.
- Monitor onboarding effectiveness and recommend enhancements.
- Design and deliver training for new and existing managers on HR policies, employment law fundamentals, performance management, and effective people leadership practices.
- Support health and safety compliance through employee training, policy communication, and record keeping, in partnership with operations.
- Coach managers on handling sensitive employee matters and building high-performing teams.
- Support the design, implementation, and ongoing management of employee benefits programs, including health, pension, wellbeing, and leave-related benefits.
- Act as a point of contact for employee benefits queries and work closely with external vendors and payroll/finance teams.
- Monitor benefits utilisation and recommend improvements aligned with employee needs and business objectives.
- Ensure HR policies remain current and aligned with UK employment legislation and organisational requirements.
- Support audits, documentation standards, and HR governance processes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Take ownership of and provide support for any HR-related project as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR generalist experience, ideally within fast paced or sales organization
- Strong employee relations experience managing complex and sensitive cases
- Demonstrated experience supporting or managing employee benefits programs
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Proven experience improving employee experience and onboarding programs
- Experience designing and delivering manager training related to HR policies and people management
- Strong stakeholder management, coaching, and influencing skills
- High level of discretion, integrity, and professional judgement
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check is required.
