Are you an experienced senior care leader with a passion for creating exceptional residential care services from the ground up? We are supporting the appointment of a Commissioning General Manager to lead the opening and successful launch of a luxury residential care home in Nottingham.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially focused care professional to take full ownership of a brand-new, high-end residential service. You will play a key role in establishing the home’s reputation, building a first-class team, and creating an outstanding living environment where residents receive exceptional standards of care and support.
As Commissioning General Manager, you will lead the home through its pre-opening phase and into successful operation, taking responsibility for everything from recruitment and culture-building through to occupancy growth, quality standards, and long-term commercial success.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will have the autonomy and support to shape the service from day one and establish it as a leading luxury care destination within the Nottingham area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commissioning and opening of a luxury residential care home from pre-opening through to full occupancy
- Develop and implement operational plans, policies, and processes to ensure a successful launch
- Recruit, inspire, and develop a high-performing team with a strong focus on hospitality and resident experience
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, professionals, and local community networks
- Drive occupancy growth through effective networking, community engagement, and local partnerships
- Maintain exceptional standards of quality, compliance, and regulatory readiness
- Oversee budgets, staffing, resources, and overall operational performance
- Create a positive culture centred around excellence, wellbeing, and delivering outstanding outcomes for residents
About You:
We are looking for an experienced Care Home Manager, Commissioning Manager, General Manager, or senior operational leader with a strong background in luxury residential care. You will have a proven ability to successfully launch, develop, and lead high-performing care services.
You will ideally have:
- Experience commissioning a new residential care home or premium care service
- A strong track record of leading teams and delivering excellent resident outcomes
- Experience driving occupancy, reputation, and commercial performance
- A strong understanding of CQC requirements and quality frameworks
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- A passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care within a luxury environment
