Senior Residential Support Worker – £16.00/hour + £60 Per Sleep-In
Location: Manchester
Shifts: 10 AM – 10:30 AM (including sleep-in duties) | 10 shifts per month

Holden Knight is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support for children with complex needs and challenging behaviours in solo placements.
No two days are the same, and in this role, you’ll play a key part in creating a stable, nurturing environment where young people can grow and thrive at their own pace.
Key responsibilities
- Support young people in a safe, homely and nurturing environment.
- Be a positive role model in the life of the young person in your care.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
- Engage and support young people who present with behaviour that may be challenging.
- Promote independence and personal development.
- Be creative in introducing new activities and opportunities for young people in your care.
- Manage daily routines and activities.
- Ensure all records are clear, accurate, and professionally maintained.
- Promote a caring, inclusive, and culturally respectful environment.
- Understand trauma and how this can impact on the young people in our care.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience in residential childcare.
- Qualifications: A relevant qualification (Level 3 in Residential Childcare).
- Skills: Organised and able to work under pressure. Be able to support young people in a nurturing and compassionate way.
- Knowledge: Good understanding of legislation relating to Children’s Homes.
- Personal: Be able to be creative in the ways that we support young people – have a “can do” attitude.
- Ethos and values: Can embed a culture of never giving up on our young people, ensuring young people are central to everything that you do. Be inspirational and value young people for who they are.
- Additional Requirement: A valid UK driving licence is a bonus but not essential.
