At The Swan Inn & Bistro, we’re an independent, food-led pub with high standards, a great reputation and ambitious plans for the future. We’re looking for an exceptional Front of House Manager to lead our restaurant and service team.
This is not a traditional pub manager role.
You’ll focus on delivering outstanding hospitality, developing the team and ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience, while working alongside an experienced Bar Manager and a dedicated administrator who currently looks after rotas and much of the office administration.
Your Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the front of house team by example. Delivering warm, professional and consistent service. Training, coaching and motivating the team. Maintaining exceptionally high service standards. Running smooth lunch and evening service. Managing reservations and guest satisfaction. Ensuring presentation, cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the venue. Working closely with the kitchen to deliver a seamless guest experience. Driving sales through great hospitality rather than hard selling.

Experience in a quality pub, restaurant or hotel environment is preferred.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary of £35000 to £40000 plus share of tips (dependent on experience)
The above would be based on a 40 hour week over 5 days but we would consider a 32 hour week over 4 days at a pro rata salary
