We are looking for a reliable and well-organised Stores Person to join our busy Romford branch on a permanent part-time basis.
This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in supporting our engineers by ensuring the right equipment, parts and materials are available when needed. You'll help maintain an efficient stores operation, accurate stock records and a safe, organised working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check and book in deliveries.
- Organise and maintain a clean, safe and tidy stores area.
- Issue parts and equipment to engineers and subcontractors.
- Prepare engineer parts and materials ready for planned works.
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock replenishment.
- Process supplier returns and warranty returns.
- Support regular stock checks and investigate stock discrepancies.
- Assist with asset tracking and equipment management.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding parts and deliveries.
- Work closely with the engineering and management teams to ensure stock availability.
- Support general warehouse and logistics duties as required.
Experience:
- Previous experience within a stores, warehouse or stock control role.
- Good IT skills with the ability to learn new systems.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A positive, flexible approach to work.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role is desirable.

- Day shift
- Working hours will be agreed over either 3 or 4 days between Monday and Friday. Some flexibility may be required to meet business needs.
