We're looking for an experienced Electrical Qualified Supervisor (QS) to join our Decent Homes Team.
This is a key technical leadership role responsible for overseeing electrical compliance, quality, and performance across our housing stock. You'll lead and support a team of electricians delivering electrical repairs, testing, inspection programmes, partial rewires, full rewires and planned improvement works within both occupied and empty homes.
As the NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, you'll provide technical assurance, undertake quality inspections, support compliance management, and help ensure that all electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of workmanship and customer service.
Hybrid working this role combines, office working, and site-based supervision across Herefordshire and Shropshire. Regular visits to occupied and empty properties will be required to support operational teams, undertake inspections, and monitor quality and compliance.
A company van will be provided due to the travel requirements of the role.
What You'll Be Doing:

Leading, motivating and developing a team of electricians delivering responsive repairs, testing, inspection programmes, electrical upgrades, partial rewires and full rewires.

Supporting the Electrical Services Manager with the day-to-day operational management of the electrical service.

Acting as the technical lead for electrical regulations, compliance, safety standards and industry best practice.

Maintaining NICEIC Qualified Supervisor responsibilities and ensuring ongoing compliance with scheme requirements.

Providing technical guidance and support to electricians, supervisors, managers and contractors.

Reviewing and monitoring electrical certification to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance and effective record keeping.

Ensuring all electrical installation, inspection and testing works are appropriately certified and completed in accordance with current regulations.

Supporting the delivery of Decent Homes, investment and planned improvement programmes across occupied and empty properties.

Providing technical oversight of electrical upgrades, modernisation projects and domestic rewire programmes.

Undertaking quality inspections, technical audits and post-inspections of completed electrical works.

Monitoring electrical compliance performance, including EICRs, remedial works and certification requirements.

Identifying trends, recurring defects and opportunities for continuous improvement across the service.

Managing contractor performance and ensuring external electrical works meet Connexus standards.

Producing quotations, estimates and material requirements for planned and reactive works.

Supporting workforce planning and effective resource allocation to ensure efficient programme delivery.

Planning and coordinating electrical works within occupied homes, ensuring excellent customer care and minimal disruption to residents.

Conducting regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and wellbeing discussions with team members.

Identifying training needs and supporting the development of electricians and apprentices.

Undertaking health and safety inspections and promoting a positive safety culture throughout the service.

Participating in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
What We're Looking For:
You'll be a highly skilled electrical professional with significant technical knowledge, compliance experience and a proven ability to lead and develop teams. Experience within social housing, property maintenance, construction or planned investment programmes would be highly beneficial.
Essential Requirements:

Fully qualified Electrician with substantial post-qualification experience.

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).

City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent).

City & Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).

NICEIC Qualified Supervisor status, or the ability to meet NICEIC QS requirements.

Strong understanding of current electrical legislation, regulations and compliance requirements.

Demonstrable experience supervising electrical installation teams.

Experience overseeing domestic electrical testing, inspection, certification and compliance activities.

Experience managing electrical repairs, planned works, electrical upgrades and rewire programmes.

Experience working within occupied residential environments and customer-focused services.

Experience undertaking technical inspections, audits and quality assurance activities.

Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong IT skills, including reporting and compliance management systems.

Full UK Driving Licence.
