We have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified early years practitioner to join our bustling, home from home nursery right in the heart of Ilkeston. This is a cover role- so you must be happy to be with babies one day/week and pre-school the next. No day will look the same in this position!
We are proud to serve 120 of Ilkeston’s families and their littlest learners and are looking for an experienced, friendly new face to join our team. The below criteria are essential for all candidates!
- You must have a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special.
- You must also be able to give warm cosy cuddles on demand.
- You must be okay to return home with paint/glue/some form of messy play in your hair or on your clothes.
- You must have a love of the outdoors and be ready and prepared to face it no matter the conditions!
- You must be able to make games up on the spot, perform in front of large crowds and not be scared to burst in to song or put on a silly voice at any given moment.
- You must be able to act well and the ability to pretend eat (especially mud pies and playdough cupcakes) is essential.
- It is preferred that you are happy to lead an impromptu yoga class in the sunshine or head out on an adventure to look for seasonal wildlife at any given moment.
- It is essential that you are open-minded and can 'go with the flow'. No day is the same as the last and life with 0-5 year olds is unpredictable. :)
- It is essential you have a childcare qualification of Level 2 or higher and recent experience of working in a childcare setting.
