Part-Time Licensing Enforcement Officer
Starting salary between £34581and £41673 (pro rata) per annum
31.75 hours per week (Monday Friday with flexibility)
Based at King’s Court Council Offices, King’s Lynn
We are looking for a confident and motivated Licensing Enforcement Officer to join our dedicated team, helping to protect the public and ensure high standards across a wide range of licensed activities. From taxis and licensed premises to animal welfare and community safety, this is a varied and rewarding role where your work will make a real difference across the borough.
You will be responsible for inspections, investigations and enforcement activity, you will handle complex cases, gather and present evidence, and work closely with local businesses, partners and residents to achieve positive outcomes. In this varied role - you could be out in the community conducting site visits, working with colleagues and partner agencies, or representing the Council at hearings and court proceedings.
You will bring strong investigative skills and a sound understanding of licensing legislation and enforcement practices, including PACE and RIPA. With excellent communication and analytical abilities, you will be comfortable working independently, managing a diverse workload and handling sensitive or challenging situations professionally. Your ability to build relationships, make sound judgements and uphold high standards will be key to your success.
