Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient logistics and supply chain processes. This role requires a strong focus on continuous improvement, effective supervision of staff, and the ability to optimise business processes to enhance productivity.
Duties
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Implement and maintain transportation management systems to streamline logistics processes.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure seamless operations.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct regular assessments of business processes to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and their application in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems is advantageous.
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
