We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our catering team at a residential care home.
The Role
- Working 3 days out of 7 on a weekly rota - 15 hours per week
- Includes weekend and bank holiday working as required
- Year-round position
As a Catering Assistant, you will help provide a high-quality dining experience for residents, supporting the preparation and service of nutritious meals in a caring and professional environment.
What We're Looking For
- A positive and reliable team player
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Previous catering, hospitality, or care sector experience would be beneficial but is not essential
- A current Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, or a willingness to obtain one
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with food preparation and meal service
- Serving meals to residents in a friendly and respectful manner
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Supporting the catering team with washing up and general kitchen duties
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety procedures
