We are looking for a kind, reliable and practical person to support our elderly parents in their beautiful countryside home near Oundle.
This is primarily a housekeeping role with some home support responsibilities. The successful candidate will help with meal preparation, household tasks and day-to-day assistance, helping our parents remain comfortable and independent in their own home.
Our mother is currently recovering from a hip operation and our father is managing ongoing health issues. Both are mentally active and value their independence, but would benefit from some additional practical support around the home.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing simple, nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Meal planning and grocery shopping when required
- Light housekeeping and keeping the home clean, tidy and organised
- Laundry and changing bedding
- General household support and errands
- Providing occasional assistance with mobility and day-to-day tasks
- Keeping an eye on general wellbeing and communicating any concerns to the family
The Ideal Candidate
- Kind, trustworthy and dependable
- Organised and proactive
- Comfortable working independently
- Enjoys cooking home-style meals
- Has a full driving licence and their own transport due to the rural location
- Previous experience in housekeeping, home help, hospitality, care or supporting older adults would be advantageous
