RCV / Dustcart Drivers (Class 2)
Location: Uxbridge, UB9 6LX
Evolve Waste Solutions is looking for experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers with a proven background operating 26-tonne Refuse Collection Vehicles (Dustcarts) across London and the Home Counties.
We are expanding our operations and are recruiting reliable, professional drivers for both day and night shifts. If you're experienced in navigating busy urban routes, committed to safety, and take pride in delivering a first-class service, we'd like to hear from you.
Operating from our Uxbridge depot, you'll be driving our modern fleet of brand-new Scania and DAF RCVs, collecting commercial waste from a wide range of customers across the region.
Job Details
- Hours: 47.5 hours per week
- Shifts Available: Days and Nights
- Overtime: Additional hours available and paid at enhanced rates
- Holiday Entitlement: 27 days annual leave plus 2 bank holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate 26-tonne Refuse Collection Vehicles throughout London and the Home Counties
- Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Carry out collections in accordance with planned routes and schedules
- Maintain accurate records, driver logs and compliance documentation
- Adhere to all road traffic legislation, driver hours regulations and company procedures
- Work closely with transport teams, operational staff and loaders to ensure efficient service delivery
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers at all times
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Right to work in the UK
- Good knowledge of London's road network and surrounding Home Counties
- Strong understanding of safe vehicle operation and compliance requirements
Desirable
- Commercial waste collection experience
- Previous experience driving 26-tonne Dustcarts / Refuse Collection Vehicles ideally
- RoRo (Roll-On Roll-Off) experience
