Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Part-time Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with attention to quality, presentation, and consistency
- Follow established recipes and kitchen procedures to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are upheld
- Assist in meal preparation during busy service times, supporting the kitchen team as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Ensure all food is stored properly according to safety regulations and inventory is managed efficiently
- Support serving staff by providing timely and accurate food delivery to tables or designated areas
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times, participating in regular kitchen inspections and training
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred, however training can be given to the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Strong skills in meal preparation, with an eye for detail and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service
- Flexibility to work part-time hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Please note we are a remote pub, with limited public transport, so own transport is preferable.
