Smushleberry Strolls is looking for a reliable, trustworthy and animal-loving Pet Sitter to join our growing team!
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for flexible, ad-hoc work to top up their income, ideal for hybrid workers,other dog walkers, self-employed people or anyone who enjoys spending time with animals.
The role involves staying overnight in our clients’ homes and providing their pets with the care, attention and companionship they need while their owners are away.
What you’ll be doing:
- Staying overnight in clients’ homes
- Feeding and caring for pets according to their individual routines
- Dog walking and providing exercise
- Giving medication where appropriate
- Providing plenty of love, attention and companionship
- Keeping the home clean and tidy
- Following owners’ instructions and maintaining pets’ normal routines
- Sending updates and photos to owners
The role:
This is ad-hoc work, rather than guaranteed regular hours. We are particularly busy during the summer months, school holidays and peak holiday periods, making this ideal for someone wanting to earn some extra income without committing to a full-time role.
It could be especially suited to:
Hybrid workers who can work remotely from clients’ homes
Self-employed people
Students or those with flexible schedules
Someone looking for a regular income top-up
Anyone who simply loves animals and enjoys a change of scenery!
PAY
From £50 per night, depending on the booking and requirements.
We’re looking for someone who is:
✔ Reliable, responsible and trustworthy
✔ Confident caring for dogs and other household pets
✔ Comfortable staying in other people’s homes
✔ Happy to follow detailed care instructions
✔ Able to manage dogs on walks confidently
✔ Flexible and available for overnight stays
✔ Professional, respectful and tidy
✔ DBS checked (or willing to obtain one)
✔ Ideally has previous pet care, dog walking or animal experience, a first aid certificate or knowledge is also preferred although not a deal breaker.
You’ll be representing Smushleberry Strolls, so professionalism and excellent customer service are just as important as your love for animals.
