Kiddycare Day Nursery is now offering an opening position as a Trainee Early Years Practitioner, where you will play a vital role in nurturing and supporting young children’s development in a vibrant childcare setting. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early childhood education while working alongside experienced professionals. You will play a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and inspiring environment that supports children’s growth, curiosity, and confidence from an early age.
Duties
- Support children by providing high-quality care and activities that meet their individual needs.
- Help with daily routines, such as mealtimes, play, and learning activities.
- Use play to engage children and support their creativity, learning and social skills.
- Keep children safe and healthy by following policies and procedures.
- Complete the apprenticeship for the SVQ in Social Services (Children and Young People) Level 7.
- Take part in training and team meetings to build skills and improve practice.
Skills
- Passionate about working with children and committed to their well-being and development
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Experience working with young children or in childcare settings; nursery experience is highly desirable
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
- A willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge.
- Committed to completing apprenticeship and providing the best support for children.
