We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Prospects Trust Unwrapped Shop Manager to lead and inspire our retail team within our unique shop environment. This role is vital in delivering exceptional customer experiences, managing daily operations, and ensuring the shop runs smoothly and efficiently while continually supporting and empowering people with additional needs, our Coworkers on placement. As a Shop Manager, you will be the driving force behind sales growth, team development, and operational excellence, fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages community engagement and trust.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily shop operations, ensuring a seamless customer journey from greeting to checkout.
- Manage and motivate a diverse team, providing coaching, supervision, and performance feedback to foster a high-energy, collaborative environment.
- Oversee merchandising strategies to optimize product displays, inventory management, and sales opportunities.
- Develop and implement sales initiatives to meet or exceed targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Maintain organized administrative records, including sales reports, staff schedules, and inventory logs.
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers and community partners to promote trust and loyalty.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, store policies, and professional phone etiquette at all times.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail, catering or similar customer-focused environments with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and inspire high performance.
- Excellent communication skills able to break down barriers and ensure an organisation where everyone's voice is heard
- Demonstrated expertise in merchandising, sales management, and retail operations.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and manage time effectively.
- Previous experience in administrative duties such as record keeping, scheduling, and inventory control.
- Outstanding phone etiquette coupled with excellent interpersonal skills to engage customers confidently.
- Social Care, Education or Training experience working with people with additional needs and or autism.
