Role Summary
We currently have an exciting opportunity within the Operations Team. The successful applicant will be
responsible for daily coordination with our Global Freight and Logistics’ partners as well as our global
manufacturing sites and Distribution Centre’s to ensure a smooth process in line with our service level
agreements. Your role will be to ensure that our finished goods are delivered at the right price and the
right time in line with our Critical Path and monthly launch dates. Working as a team reporting in to the
Operations team your roles and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
Freight/Logistics:
Track performance KPI’s, put forward suggestions / plans of action for improvement; spotting opportunities
for enhanced efficiency / cost savings.
Weekly review of shipment issues / service levels with global DC’s
Look to streamline shipping and transportation processes utilizing logistics’ IT to optimize shipping and transport procedures where possible.
Formalization of standard operating procedures and process maps.
Leading regular reviews with our Distribution Centre’s in UK / Netherlands and US, resolving issues relating to quality of deliveries / packaging / scanning issues
Monitoring and auditing critical inbound samples and deadlines
Liaise closely with all of our global manufacturing sites
Support Operations, Purchasing and Planning Teams with regular cost scenarios
Mange forwarder accounts, host Quarterly Business Reviews
First point of call for all Supply Chain and Design DHL related matters.
Administrate DHL account access and usage.
Approve specific users on DHL via E-Secure
Check, sign and approve all Supply Chain DHL invoice
Monitor DHL account usage from our suppliers, maintain KPI of costs.
Raise & maintain shipments through an ERP system and comminate any changes.
Maintain a regular shipment tracker and delivery schedule.
Custom/Duty:
Monthly auditing / reporting on HMRC MSS data ensuring correct duty payments are being made and corrective action taken.
Maintaining auditable database of garment UK Customs HS / US Tariff codes / Values, Origins and dutiable rates ensuring Customs compliance.
Approving and checking freight invoices & customs entries.
Take the lead in preparation ahead of scheduled HMRC Audits.
Develop and manage relationships internally / externally to ensure smooth schedules and execution.
Quarterly performance reviews with our nominated Freight Forwarders.
Ability to lead freight forwarder tender process as required.
Projects Work:
Work closely to improve processes through departmental cross functional project teams.
Essential:
2-3 years working in a similar role
HMRC experience and knowledge of applicable laws, regulations relating to apparel import and export, shipping procedures, incoterms and MSS data.
Intimate apparel experience would be a significant advantage
Effective scheduling and planning skills
Outstanding organizational, coordination abilities.
Excellent communication, team-working interpersonal skills
Ability to read and interpret large sets of numerical data
Strong IT analytical skills (Microsoft 365, Excel especially, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, ERP)
