We are looking for a reliable, patient and enthusiastic Dance Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and confident in providing support during sessions. This role involves assisting the lead dance teacher with class delivery, engaging positively with children of different abilities, helping maintain structure in the class, and contributing to a safe and encouraging learning environment, signing kids in for dance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the lead teacher in preparing and delivering weekly dance sessions.
- Assist children in learning choreography, movement exercises, and warm-ups.
- Encourage and motivate children to participate with confidence.
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere.
- Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all participants during class.
- Assist with class set-up and pack-down where needed.
- Communicate professionally with staff, children, and parents/guardians.
Ideal Candidate
- Passionate about dance and creative arts - currently studying dance GCSE, BTEC L3 etc (experience in dance training or performance is desirable but not essential).
- Enjoys working with children and understands how to encourage and support them.
- Patient, positive and able to remain calm and consistent.
- Reliable and able to commit to weekly Thursday sessions.
- A good communicator and team player.
- Experience working with young people is beneficial but not required—attitude and willingness to learn are valued.

- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- A current enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (to be discussed based on experience)
