About the Role
We're hiring a Software Engineer to lead development of our financial modeling web application — an interactive platform where founders and analysts build investor-ready P&L statements, cash flow projections, break-even analyses, and scenario-based forecasts without spreadsheets. You'll work at the intersection of fintech UX and market research, turning complex financial logic into intuitive, data-driven tools used across our platform.
What You'll Do
- Design and build a web app for creating, editing, and exporting financial models (revenue drivers, cost structures, cap tables, and multi-year projections)
- Implement real-time calculation engines for P&L, cash flow, break-even, and sensitivity/scenario analysis
- Develop spreadsheet-style input components, validation rules, and chart visualizations for model outputs
- Integrate financial models with our business plan templates and market research dashboards
- Build APIs and data layers to persist models, support PDF/Excel export, and connect research datasets
- Collaborate with market research analysts to translate industry assumptions into reusable model templates
- Write clean TypeScript across Next.js, React, and backend services; participate in code reviews
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Next.js (or comparable full-stack frameworks)
- Experience building data-heavy UIs — forms, tables, charts, or calculation-driven applications
- Understanding of financial concepts (P&L, cash flow, unit economics) or willingness to learn quickly
- Comfort owning features end-to-end in a remote, async environment
- Clear written communication and attention to detail
What We Offer
- Fully remote — work from anywhere
- $2,600/month compensation
- Flexible working hours
- Direct ownership of a core product used by 10,000+ founders
- Small team where engineering decisions shape the platform
Work Location: Remote
