JOB TITLE: Temporary Relief Class 2 Lorry Driver (Forklift Transport)

Established in 1973, we are a materials handling business specialising in forklift hire, sales, service and parts. Operating from our premises in Dinnington, Sheffield, we support customers across the region with both short-term and long-term hire solutions.
Due to temporary employee absence, we are looking to appoint a reliable and flexible Class 2 Driver to support our transport operation on a temporary basis.
THE ROLE
You will operate our company Mercedes Class 2 lorry to deliver and collect forklift trucks and materials handling equipment to and from customer sites.
This is a temporary position intended to provide cover until our permanent driver returns to work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivery and collection of forklift trucks and materials handling equipment
- Safe loading, securing and transportation of equipment
- Completion of vehicle checks and transport paperwork
- Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach on site
- Liaising with internal departments including Hire, Service, Sales and Parts
- Ensuring compliance with transport legislation and company procedures
REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
- Full UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good driving record
- Previous experience driving Class 2 vehicles
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Flexible and reliable approach to work
Desirable:
- Experience transporting forklifts, plant or industrial equipment
- Experience with load securing and machinery transport

- No overnight or weekend work, transport carried out Monday - Friday only, generally between the hours of 7am and 5pm. Standard working hours 7.30am to 4.30pm.
