The Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver / Packer to join our team.
This is a varied role involving the safe collection and delivery of customer orders and supplier materials, together with packing and preparing finished products for dispatch. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring goods are delivered on time and presented to the highest standard.
When not undertaking driving duties, you will assist within the factory with packing, dispatch, and general production support activities.
Responsibilities
- Collect and deliver goods to customers and suppliers throughout the UK
- Load and unload vehicles safely and securely
- Check deliveries against paperwork and report any discrepancies
- Pack finished products carefully to ensure they arrive in excellent condition
- Prepare goods for dispatch and organise delivery documentation
- Assist with goods-in and goods-out activities
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Support production and warehouse teams when required
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
- Previous driving and delivery experience.
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and organised
- Good communication skills
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
- Forklift licence would be advantageous but is not essential
