3D Plastic Centres, a leading manufacturer and distributor of maintenance-free UPVC building products, is seeking a Trade Counter Assistant to join our busy team at our Hounslow branch. With over 20 outlets across the UK and a manufacturing facility in Birmingham, we are committed to providing exceptional customer service and delivering high-quality products.
Role Overview: As a Trade Counter Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in our branch network, serving as the first point of contact for our valued customers. This position offers a unique blend of customer service and warehousing responsibilities, ensuring that every day brings new challenges and opportunities to excel.
Responsibilities: Customer Service (50%)
- Greet and assist customers in-store and at the trade counter, providing professional and friendly service.
- Handle face-to-face, telephone, and email inquiries, addressing customer needs promptly and effectively.
- Offer sales and technical support on our products, guiding customers in their purchasing decisions.
- Provide accurate verbal and email quotes, communicating information on stock availability, pricing, and lead times.
- Process relevant paperwork, including order fulfillment and stock management tasks.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and your team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to facilitate the opening of new trade accounts.
Warehousing (25%)
- Supervise the picking and preparation of orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct regular stock checks and manage inventory with a high degree of accuracy.
- Perform daily warehouse duties, including goods in, dispatch, and stock locations.
- Assist in loading, delivering, and unloading goods at customer sites within the local area.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of vehicles used for deliveries.
- Check and record delivery paperwork to maintain accurate records.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in a similar role within the fenestration and UPVC industry or a trade/retail environment.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Reliable with good timekeeping and attendance records.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Smart and professional appearance.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain high standards of performance.
Shift Timings:
Mon-Fri : 7.30am to 4.30pm
Saturday: 8.30am to 12.30pm
