Shift Process Technician (x4 Positions)
- Location: Lenzing Fibers Grimsby Limited, Energy Park Way, Healing, Grimsby DN31 2TT
- Starting Salary: £41,343 + monthly incentive scheme + 8 weeks closure incentive
- Contract Type: Full-time, Open-ended
- Working Pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, 4-off and provides 12x 10-day breaks a year
- Overtime Rates: Monday to Friday (1.5x), Saturday AM & Sunday PM (2x) and Saturday PM & Sunday AM (2.5x)
- Pension: Up to 12% employer pension contribution
We are looking for four Process Technicians to join our manufacturing team. These roles are integral to the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of our production processes.
This opportunity is offered on a full-time, open-ended basis. Applicants should be aware that the site is currently expected to cease operations at the end of December 2027.
As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and operating plant equipment, maintaining product quality standards, identifying process improvements, and contributing to a strong safety culture across the site.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and who are committed to delivering operational excellence. You will also be required to be available for reasonable levels of overtime and call outs in order to support plant operations.
Key responsibilities for this role;
- Rotates as required to support other production areas and able to train others in areas of expertise as well as share information. Responsible for ensuring that internal and external Health, Safety & Environmental standards are met in terms of both work performance and behaviour. Safely operates continuous plant and equipment following written SWPs to specified quality standards requiring no supervision.
- Interacts with a computer-based SCADA control system and uses control screens, historical trends and alarm logs to maintain stable operation and to diagnose faults.
- Carries out required quality control audit tests and takes any necessary corrective action to address out of spec. results.
- Reports any incidents of Near Misses (Safety and Environmental) to minimise the risk of recurrence.
- Takes part in routine safety audits/inspections and ensures unsafe acts or conditions are dealt with.
- Works as part of a team to react to and rectify plant breakdown or mal-operation.
- Maintains highest standards of plant housekeeping and hygiene.
- Ensures efficient inter shift communication through maintaining clear log and personal hand-over at shift change.
- Able to train others in areas of expertise as well as share information.
Candidate requirements;
- Self motivated.

- Good communicator with ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
- Confident and meticulous with computer operations.
- Good numeracy and computer skills.
- Flexible and willing to adopt new practices and help drive change.
- Ability to become fully trained in FLT use is essential.
- Willing to be actively involved in developing the safety culture.
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement in the Safety and Quality aspects of the work.
