Counterbalance FLT Driver – Severnside (BS35)
Salary: £27,710.00 + 20% shift allowance = £36,854.30 per year
Shifts: Nights - Sunday to Thursday 10pm-6am
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About the role
We’re looking for a skilled Counterbalance FLT Driver to join CHEP – the global leader in pallet, crate, and container pooling. You’ll operate 4.5-ton triple fork FLTs in a fast-paced yard environment, supporting production and haulier operations.
What you’ll do
- Safely operate FLT trucks to support production & haulier operations
- Direct visiting vehicles during loading & unloading
- Maintain smooth flow on production lines within agreed SLAs
- Assist with manual inspection & repair of yard equipment
- Report any damage or operational issues promptly
- Handle and rotate stock safely and efficiently
What we need from you
- Experience as a Counterbalance FLT Driver (busy yard/HGV loading preferred)
- External FLT licence (RTITB or ITSSAR) is ideal – in-house licences considered
- Experience with double/triple fork FLTs = big advantage
- Safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
