Job Summary
Ugalco Business & Commercial Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Director of Commercial & Business Operations to provide strategic leadership across commercial strategy, business operations, client relationships, and organisational performance.
The successful candidate will lead commercial and operational teams, improve profitability and efficiency, manage key business relationships, and support sustainable growth across the organisation.
What You'll Do
- Develop and lead commercial and business operations strategy
- Oversee commercial, operational, and business-support functions
- Lead managers and multidisciplinary operational teams
- Manage revenue, budgets, margins, costs, and profitability targets
- Identify new markets, partnerships, clients, and growth opportunities
- Lead major contract negotiations and commercial agreements
- Improve operational processes, productivity, and service performance
- Monitor business KPIs, forecasts, risks, and operational performance
- Work closely with finance, sales, business development, and senior leadership
- Manage strategic suppliers, partners, and key client relationships
- Support business planning, organisational development, and expansion initiatives
- Present commercial and operational recommendations to senior leadership
Requirements
- Significant experience in commercial management, business operations, consulting, or a related leadership role
- Proven experience leading teams, departments, or major business functions
- Strong commercial understanding of revenue, margins, budgeting, and profitability
- Experience managing contracts, negotiations, clients, and strategic partnerships
- Strong strategic planning and operational improvement capabilities
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage complex business priorities and senior stakeholder relationships
- Relevant business, finance, management qualification, or equivalent senior-level experience is preferred

Pay: £90,000.00-£120,000.00 per year
