Overall purpose of the job:
We are looking for someone holding a Childcare qualification (minimum level 2) to provide a safe, loving and stimulating environment for children to play and develop
happily in.
This position is term time only, which may suit applicants with school aged children.
Key responsibilities for this job:
To provide consistently high quality child care and strive for improving practices.
Provide sensitive, personal care for your own group of Key worker children.
Work with parents professionally and provide information about their child's day.
Be non judgmental, and professional at all times.
To work as part of a team
To plan and provide fun, stimulating, stage appropriate activities, considering individual
needs.
Keep developmental records and observations for Key Worker children.
Provide positive management of children's behaviour.
Keeping accident, incident, existing injuries recordings and update risk assessments.
Laundry duties
Attendance of staff meetings and supervisions
To develop good relationships with colleagues, children and parents,
To monitor and evaluate practices and activities.
To work within the requirements of the policies and procedures and ensure their
operation.
To be flexible and take on extra duties if necessary.
To maintain equipment, making sure it's cleaned regularly.
To be aware of cultural differences and provide cultural play opportunities for children.
Facilitate parent's evenings for Key Worker Children.
To contribute to health and safety risk assessments.

Pay: £10.85-£12.81 per hour
