Supervision of shift and setting of injection moulding machines
4 days per week, 10 hours per day, rotating shifts early and late
Purpose
Responsible for leadership in all aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery and People across operating shift.
Ensure products are produced at specified cycle times, made from the correct material and material volume. Zero scrap outside of tool set up must be the main focus utilising the shift team members to achieve this.
Objectives
Safety
Ensure a safe working environment in line with company standards, through -
· Being the main point of contact on each shift with regards to all Health and Safety matters. Undertake actions to resolve concerns in a timely manner and/or escalated to Managers as appropriate
· Promote 6S standards. Ensuring they are embedded, monitored and adhered to at all times by all shift members.
Quality
Responsible for ensuring all products produced during designated shift meet specification and requirements of ISO9001
· Ensure first and last of checks are completed and specification met
· Continuously monitor shift operations to ensure specification is achieved in.
· Where possible correct process deviation and if necessary, stop production activities till a solution can be found.
· Maintain tooling to achieve required product specification and highlight areas for improvement or concern to the Technical specialist.
Support Quality and continuous improvement activities.
Delivery
Execute production plan on time and in full (OTIF), through appropriate setting of tools in machines adhering to Safety, Quality and Maintenance objectives detailed in this JD.
People
Responsible for ensuring all shift members fulfil their roles to company standards, identify where training gaps are present and support appropriate actions to resolve.
Maintenance
Execute defined PPM/TPM schedules for machine, equipment and tooling.
