We provide preventative services that support disabled children and young people and those with additional requirements, alongside their families. Our aim is to dismantle social barriers and promote inclusion, independence, participation, and equal opportunities so that every child and young person can thrive.
Our work includes parenting support, helping families understand diagnosis, emotional regulation support, developing independent living skills, social and peer support opportunities, participation and engagement activities, and real-life work experience. We believe children and young people should have the same opportunities as their peers to take positive risks, develop confidence, and enjoy new experiences.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Team Manager to help lead and develop our services. This is an exciting opportunity to support a dedicated team while continuing to make a real difference to the lives of children, young people, and families.
The successful candidate will provide supervision and support to staff, contribute to service development, and help shape policy and practice across the team. They will also play a key role in developing projects, monitoring outcomes, managing risk, and ensuring services remain responsive to the needs of children and young people.
What We're Looking For
We would like to hear from applicants who have:
An understanding of the challenges and opportunities experienced by disabled children and young people and those with additional requirements.- Experience of supervising and supporting staff.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Experience of report writing and maintaining accurate records.
- Experience of collecting and analysing data, particularly for funded projects and service evaluation.
- Experience of developing and implementing new projects or initiatives.
- Knowledge and experience of risk assessment and risk management.
- A positive approach to enabling safe risk-taking and promoting independence.
- The ability to communicate effectively with disabled children and young people, parents and carers, and a wide range of professionals.
- A commitment to participation, engagement, inclusion, and person-centred practice.
