We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Project Engineer to join our Construction Management Team based at our Hawarden Head Office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer to play a key role in the successful delivery of complex EC&I installation projects across a wide range of industries. Depending on your experience, you may be assigned to one or several projects, including large-scale installations involving LV power, building services, security systems and control systems.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager and Operations Director, you will support the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of electrical installation projects from initial planning through to final completion.
You will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing documentation, supporting client communications, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with delivering complex Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) installation projects.
- Create and manage project documentation including:
- Method Statements
- Risk Assessments
- Scope of Work documents
- Technical Queries (TQs)
- Variation Orders and Compensation Events
- Progress Reports
- Labour Allocation Schedules
- Resource Plans
- Project Work Packs
- As-Built Documentation and Drawings
- Support project meetings and client communications.
- Provide project reporting to senior management.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, quality, health & safety and security requirements.
- Support delivery of projects under NEC contract mechanisms.
- Contribute to successful project planning, execution and handover activities.
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.
- Minimum 1 year's experience within an electrical installation or engineering environment.
- Good understanding of electrical installation practices and project delivery.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within project teams.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- 3+ years' experience as a Project Engineer within a similar industry.
- BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
- Membership of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
- Experience in EC&I installations, including:
- Containment systems
- Industrial cabling
- LV distribution systems
- Existing Security Clearance.
- Experience working within highly regulated sectors such as Nuclear, Utilities, Power Generation or Pharmaceutical industries.
